To wish all my Virgo friends a Happy Birthday, I have decided to do something practical. I have come up with the top ten best discounts/deals in town during your Birthday. The best part - it is in order of (my preference of) how attractive the offer is.

And actually, a lot of the offers are really very good deals of up to 50% off. Before you look at the list, I have to tell you first that I am not receiving commission from any of the outlets/brands/stores. I just want to share this with friends so that you get the best discounts/deal during your birthday.

Note that some deals may not have direct links so please call up the store/outlets and verify if they still have these deals before going over to save disappointments.

And here we go:

1) The Coffee Connoisseur (TCC)
Enjoy 50% discount during your Birthday Month in the first visit, 30% discount in the subsequent visit. Remember to bring your membership card and call them to make sure it is not expired.

2) Starhub Birthday Treat - Pan Pacific Hotel Orchard
Birthday guest during the birthday month dine in for free with at least one accompanying paying guest on Monday to Thursday.

3) Lawry's Dining Voucher
Lawry used to give us 1-for-1 main course during the Birthday Month. But I think they decided that it is to expensive. But the offer now is still not bad. Get a Lawry's $50 voucher during the Birthday Month as long as you spend a minimum of $100 (which is not difficult at all).

4) KBox Birthday Month Vouchers
This is a terrific offer if you are an avid Karaoke singer like myself. Get your Birthday Vouchers (only valid for members, but membership fee is only $10). You have offers such as $50 off the total bill or your age converted to percentage discount (i.e. if you are 35 years old, you get a 35% discount), very worth it. If your parents are above 50 and they love singing, imagine how delighted they will be if you bring them to KBox and they enjoy a half price offer.

5) King & King Wong (Nex Mall) Discount
If you are a member of King & King Wong (the furniture really looks good and not as expensive), you can get 50% off the first piece (limited to one piece excluding furniture, curtains, bedding and goods on consignment) and 20% off normal priced items (up to a limit of 5 items).

6) Swenson's free sundae
If you are a Swenson's member you get to enjoy a free sundae if you come to dine in on your birthday. You need to order a main food item (not soup, appetiser and snacks) to enjoy the sundae.

7) Golden Village 1-for-1 movie tickets
You need to print out a e-birthday voucher if you are a Golden Village member and you can enjoy watching a free movie as long as you purchase one ticket on the month of your Birthday.

8) Dorothy Perkins 20% off normal priced items
Girlfriends, it is time to shop for your dresses. You can enjoy 20% off any normal priced item during your birthday month. But lo-and-behold, this is only valid for a one-time visit, so strategize carefully. If I am not wrong, DP stocks up either on Tuesday or Wednesday (depending on the store location), so if you want to get the best out of the deal, give your DP store a ring to find out when they stock up.

9) Giordano 20% off normal priced items
I am not a fan of Giordano but I believe you may have loved ones like your Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister who likes to buy casual clothes from Giordano. You have to be a Giordano member to enjoy this 20% discount though. Bring them to enjoy this discount, share the joy.

1) The Body Shop 20% off normal priced items
Again, I am not a big fan of The Body Shop because it is quite expensive but there are some things that you can buy that's really useful, for instance I really like their Tea Tree Oil series to treat pimples and their Aromatherapy oils. So this 20% discount could be a chance to stock up on some of these items.

Bear in mind that most of these offers would require you to be a member first. But, some quick calculations will tell you that signing up as a member and enjoying the Birthday Deals is still a better deal as the discounts outweigh the membership charges of $10-$25. But, some cards like TCC requires minimum spending before you get the card, so this one I leave it to you.
